Parent Toddler Program
( 6 months To 18 months)
Our Parent-Toddler program is specially designed to help toddlers prepare for school. As a part of this programme, toddlers and their parents attend a 1 and a half hour session where toddlers learn through play and a wide variety of child-centered activities. Parents and Toddlers participate together in Art, Music & Movement, Gym, Story-time, Sensorial play etc. This creates an open space for our children to actively explore, learn and grow.
This program helps in the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of the children while feeling the support, comfort and confidence in the company of their parents.
Younger Children Community Program
(1.5 years to 2.5 years)
During the first 3 years of life, a child develops more rapidly than at any other time. During this phase, the child absorbs large amounts of information from the environment through observation and experiences. These are the years that lay the foundation for later learning and stronger the foundation, the more the child will be able to build upon it.Our top priority is making sure your child is healthy, safe and happy. Learning through the five senses helps children comprehend and classify the world around them.
YCC programs offer a curriculum that emerges from each child’s unique skills and interests. Our team and the environment are prepared with that in mind. Based on daily observations, adults introduce new materials and activities that pique curiosity and stimulate learning.
House of Children Program
(2.5 years to 6 years)
The Montessori House of Children is a mixed age environment specifically designed to help children between the ages of 2.5 to 6 years to develop at their own pace, choosing their own activities from the Montessori materials which are displayed in an ordered and accessible way.
Children work individually, or in groups, with hands-on activities which are designed to help them develop physically, socially and intellectually. Each activity is complete in itself and also prepares for later activities so that the children move from one activity to the next, mastering each new challenge with ease. Children explore and find things out for themselves. They become confident in their own abilities because the environment naturally encourages them to persevere, achieve manageable goals and correct their own mistakes. The program emphasizes the process of discovery and exploration of the world through multi-sensory materials.
DAY CARE
(1.5 years to 12 years)
At Ila we understand the parent’s needs and therefore have developed a distinct day care programme which will act as an extended hand of help to keep our children engaged while parents can go on with their busy lives without worrying about their children.
We have even carefully worked out a spectrum of timings keeping in mind the parents varied working schedules. During these extended hours the children are supervised by the Ila team members as they participate in snack, outdoor play and organized games.
Ila Foundation School is a House of Children following a scientific Montessori pedagogy.
Montessori education derives from the work of educationist Maria Montessori, who discovered that children learn from their environment and relatively little from listening to a teacher in class. The Montessori Method of teaching helps the child identify and develop their interest in their own way and at their own pace. The Montessori ethos is that a child is an individual who has been born with a true nature. It is the teacher’s job to help reveal this nature and ensure that they utilise their full potential, in a joyful manner.
In a nutshell, the Montessori approach to education is child centered and based on mutual respect and co-operation. The teacher in a Montessori Classroom is more of a guide and facilitator, respecting the concentration and varied learning approaches of each child in the classroom.
